To be a member of FBLA, a student must have taken or be taking a business class—IBCA, BCA, Accounting, Word Processing, or ASO.  There is no GPA requirement.  The major activity for the year is the District Conference, which occurs every February at ULM. The students must earn the right to attend this conference by earning 15 community service points and 5 dress code points.  Of the 24 members of FBLA this year, 20 of them attended the District Conference.   Our chapter does not attend the State Conference due to its excessive cost, but the students do earn Wal-Mart gift cards for placing at the District Conference.
